Linda Clark - Independent Speech Pathologist
Linda qualified as a Speech and Language Therapist in London and has over twenty years experience working in schools and health centres in England, Australia, Singapore and Jakarta.
Working with children, parents and teachers has highlighted the need for the earliest possible intervention and working together to achieve the best outcome. The time in expatriate schools in Asia enabled her to participate in the sharing of knowledge and experiences with professionals and children from all over the world.
Linda was the first speech pathologist in South Australia to open an advisory drop in service for parents and along with co-author Catherine Ireland, published a book for parents of young children called “Learning To Talk, Talking To Learn” (1996). At that time of the first edition there was little information about the connection between language, auditory processing and literacy skills. A new edition called “Talk, Listen and Learn” (2003) catered for children’s skills up to 10 years of age.
Linda continues to work with children with processing, phonological awareness and literacy difficulties, looking for ways to improve their learning and assist their parents in supporting them learn. Linda utilises a number of programs that best suit the child’s needs and she also develops resources for practical support.
Linda has a wonderful rapport with children both young and old, and a passion for helping families through their literacy difficulties.

- The Listening Program
- Macquarie MultiLit
- Interactive Metronome
